Who are we?
Hello there!!
I’m Barry Bloom, Commercial Manager for Easy Home Charge. I have worked with the Stephen James Group for twenty years. I started my career in the Parts Department progressing to the team leader at the Company’s Enfield Centre which is one of the largest BMW and MINI Parts Departments in the UK, selling £11M of parts a year. That’s a lot of items to sell and required a high degree of organisation and process control to ensure a consistent level of good customer satisfaction which I am really proud of and I got a lot of personal satisfaction from.
My journey became even more interesting when in 2012 I was asked to participate in a pilot scheme for BMW (UK) as a Product Genius. Stephen James were one of only a handful of UK dealer groups asked to be involved. Myself and twenty other international candidates spent two weeks in Austria on an intensive training course which was the first of its kind. At the end of the course I qualified as one of the first BMW genius’ in the world (my claim to fame-sort of!!) I’m number thirteen if you were wondering, a lucky number for me!
In late 2013 I became Stephen James’s first dedicated BMW i specialist (BMW’s electric Brand) responsible for handling all enquiries relating to electric cars and in 2015 I was promoted to Product Manager for BMWi. Car technology and electrification are my specialist areas.
We deliver a great customer experience at Stephen James but, on so many occasions recently, customers haven’t received the same level of dedication with 3rd party suppliers for home charging units. This inspired me to take the role of Commercial Manager for Easy Home Charge. Spun out of the Stephen James Group, under my supervision, the team at Easy Home Charge want to deliver a great customer experience in all aspects relating to the supply of your home charging unit.
I am on hand and available to help you negotiate your journey from survey to installation so please get in touch if you have any questions. Whilst I’m a specialist in BMW and MINI, with 10 years’ experience in EVs, I’m sure I’ll be able to help you with any Brand of vehicle that requires home charging.
What do we do?
Easy Home Charge works closely and has built strong relationships with leading car manufacturers and dealerships. We are part of the Stephen James BMW & MINI Group which has been an authorised dealer since 1985. As well as providing home charging solutions we also work with house builders/developers, property managers, councils and corporate clients with their charging equipment requirements. This means we are able to understand the needs of our customers and keep pace with technological changes to ensure we can provide the best impartial advice and design solution.
